Emily Gilbert

Emily Gilbert is an employment attorney and associate at Unlawful Termination Lawyers, LLC, representing employees in a range of employment-related matters, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.  Emily is admitted to practice law in Oregon state and federal courts. She is a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) and Oregon Women Lawyers (OWLS).

Emily first became interested in employee rights while working as an intern at the Worker Justice Center of New York, where she focused on advocacy expanding the rights of agricultural workers in rural New York. Emily recognizes that the right to work with dignity and respect is foundational to a person’s well-being and believes in the power of employment law to build a better world.

Emily graduated summa cum laude from Lewis & Clark Law school, where she also served as an Article Editor for the Lewis & Clark Law Review and was an active member of the Law & Philosophy Society. Emily grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and received her undergraduate degree in sociology from Bard College in upstate New York. Prior to law school, Emily worked as a paralegal at a law firm in New York City.

In her free time, Emily enjoys reading, hiking, perfecting her sourdough recipe, and playing tennis with her partner.
