Robert Meyer
Robert Meyer is a trial lawyer with the employment law firm of Mitra Law Group. Robert graduated with a bachelor's degree in English from U.C. Berkeley and received his law degree from the University Of Oregon School Of Law.
After law school and his admission to the California State Bar, Robert began to practice employment law for several years in San Francisco, California where he specialized in litigating sexual harassment, discrimination, whistle blowing and wrongful termination claims. Robert was also part of the team responsible for establishing a successful office of a national employment defense firm in California.
In 2008, Robert joined the Oregon State Bar and began working as an employment lawyer in the Portland office of a well known nationwide employment defense firm. Robert's passion in trying cases caused him to join the Curry County District Attorney's office in 2010 where he further honed his skills as a great trial lawyer. Robert gained extensive and valuable trial experience as a prosecutor handling a number of major felony jury trials. Robert was successful in single-handedly securing numerous favorable jury verdicts in tough cases for his clients and as a result helped restore numerous crime victims' faith in the justice system.
After a successful tenure at the D.A.'s office in Curry County, Robert returned to civil practice and joined the employment law firm of Mitra Law Group as one of its lead trial attorneys. Robert's thirst for trying cases is now combined with his passion for representing the rights of the victim's of employment discrimination and harassment.
Robert is admitted to practice law in all state and federal courts in Oregon and California. Robert is also an active member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association and Multnomah Bar Association.
In his spare time, Robert enjoys distance running, tennis, basketball and swimming. In addition, Robert is an avid Ducks fan and enjoys visiting the University of Oregon for football games as well as track and field events.
